My current role as a receptionist is more customer-oriented which I wasn't used to and I didn't have a lot of confidence as my daily tasks involve facing clients and communicating with our staff to solve any issues or handle certain requests they might have. However, I felt that managing my colleagues and their requests wasn't easy and was looking for ways to improve my interpersonal and communication skills. After completing the 'Effective People Management' course, I was able to communicate and form better relationships with my colleagues. I was also able to present a more professional front to the clients who came to our office. I felt that the skills and techniques I learnt significantly improved my overall job performance and also gave me fulfillment at work.
